We have a risen Savior, who still lives today.
My heart is full of praises as I write this today. Our church had the most beautiful baptism service recently. Three adults and four children professed to the saving grace of Jesus in their lives. Among those being baptized were three generations of the same family. Imagine the lasting impression made on two young boys as they stood and watched their grandmother, and then their respective parents be baptized, before being immersed themselves by their beloved children's pastor.
Later that day, a lady from our congregation shared the story of how, several years ago, she provided church transportation to one of the adults from that same household, hoping to lead her to the Lord. We do not know whether that person has come to redemption yet. However, one of those newly-baptized boys also rode along to church each time. The focus had been on winning the adult to Christ, but it was actually the child who was being influenced. Our friend did not realize at the time that her simple act of giving a ride to a "tag-along" boy was making an impact for the kingdom.
May you be encouraged today to keep up the good work of influencing children you know--whether they are in your church, your neighborhood, or in your own home. One day you may be celebrating their baptism!
